Jenny's Story...
Jenny was abandoned by someone in Pryor, OK. She was caught after 3 days and was finally coaxed to trust a rescue volunteer who took her home to care for her. Jenny will be joining our rescue group on Sunday the 2nd of October and will remain with the shelter until she has been rehabilitated, vetted, and spayed. If you are interested in following Jennys' progress for possible adoption please do not hesitate to contact us my email or phone. We will accept applications for her, which can be found on our website at www.newhopecattledogsar.com on the available for adoption page. If anyone is interested in fostering Jenny during her rehab period please fill out and send us your Foster Agreement which can also be found on our website.
10/25/11 UPDATE:
Jenny is doing great. She is crate trained, house trained, and she is getting more and more friendly. She has lost some of her shyness and she plays well with her other shelter mates. She can be let loose inside and does not have any accidents. She will go to the door to let you know when she needs to go outside. As yet she has not been spayed. She does have all of her age appropriate immunizations. Please let us know if you are interested in visiting with Jenny for possible adoption.
4/8/2012 UPDATE:
Jenny has been spayed and brought current on her immunizations. She is still very shy and is slow to accept strangers. She does not trust any situation that she is not familiar with. We will continue working with her until we find the right home for her. It will take a very special family to adopt her.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jenny, a Conway Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Conway, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Conway.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Conway already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Conway breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Conway paves the way for another one to be saved.
