My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nina is a friendly little puppy. She is very affectionate towards people she knows. Loving and playful. Alert and very curious. Not a big barker. Rides well in cars. Smart. Can be little stubborn at times. She gets along with most dogs however she would do best with a dog her size or larger.

Wonderful little companion for an active household. Perfect playmate for other dogs and older dog savvy children. Great dog to take along for long walks and then snuggle with while watching TV or reading a good book.

Coat requires minimal care. Regular brushing will keep the coat clean and free of dirt and dead hair. Bathe as needed. Daily exercise such as walk on a leash is very important. As always, obedience training is highly recommended.

Nina is 5-6 months old and weights around 10 lbs. Just about full grown.

This poor pup was turned in to a high-kill shelter in GA by her owners. They just changed their minds and realized she is not quite what they want. They dumped her at the shelter and signed consent to have her euthanized without thinking twice about it. Another unwanted pet! Lucky for her Southern HOPE was called in to give her one more chance in life.

Thank you for your interest in Nina. The rescue who is bringing Nina has the information on Nina's background. The rescue has asked Dog Days to pre-screen interested adopters for all of their dogs coming to our event.

Maddy has been spayed, vaccinated, de-wormed, and microchipped. She is also heartworm negative. The adoption fee also includes microchip registration. She is current on flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.

APPLICATION FORM: http://godogdays.org/find-my-new-best-friend.htm (Copy and paste to browser.)

If you would like to begin the application process, please fill in the form at the link above and we will review your information, call your personal and well as vet references. PLEASE Fill in the application if you're interested in adoption, this will save you time at the event. A letter from your vet on their letterhead will also be very helpful if they won't be open for us to call as a reference. If you are renting, please note you must have a written letter of permission from your landlord to own a dog on their property. Dog Days will be conducting interviews of prospective adopters. As a policy, Dog Days will not hold dogs for potential adopters so it is important to come to the event by 11:00am Saturday morning if you have your heart set on a particular dog. We will be posting more information on each dog as we get closer to the event weekend which is June 23-24 at Chester Fairgrounds. PLEASE NOTE THAT DOGS ARE GIVEN TO THE BEST HOME, NOT FIRST IN LINE.
