Scarlett's Story...
Scarlett is a beautiful Dilute Calico Tabby mixed. She is a recent Mom and, as usual, the kittens have all been adopted and now Mom needs a home. She came to us very pregnant and was taken to the vet's and was tested for feline aids/leukemia, and Parvo (distemper) she tested negative for all three. She has been spayed, had her rabies and distemper shots and is a happy, healthy, beautiful loving cat for anyone. she's not fond of the dog that she lives with but that maybe attributed to the fact that she had kittens. oms with babies are very protective of their babies and dogs are not welcomed near her babies. she may become more tollerant now that her babies are adopted.
She was definately someone's cat at one time. they did not get her spayed, which is State law and oh what a surprise! she got pregnant! That can never happen again as she is now spayed. This too will make her settle down as far as the dog is concerned too.
She will be at the Providence Petco so come by and meet Scarlett. She's really a very sweet cat to her foster Mom and kids. She'd make a great companion for any family.
You may obtain an online application by logging on to CatAdoptionRI.org or by emailing catadoptionteam@aol.com. All of the cats and kittens are placed with the Rhode Island State mandated proof of spay or neuter. In order to take your new cat or kitten home with you, there must be an approved application prior to any placement. Application approval is usually within 24-48 hours. We, at CATS, are very proud of all of the cats and kittens that we help facilitate finding new forever homes, and work very hard to make sure they are happy, healthy and well socialized. All of the cats and kittens are fed only a high end cat food. We are at the Providence Petco, located at 585 N. Main Street, Providence, RI every Sunday from 10 am to 3 pm and you are welcome to come by and see all the cats and kittens that are looking for new 'Forever Homes'. Hard copy medical records accompany each cat and kitten. Each cat or kitten is completely vetted prior to their placed. The policy is that all of our cats and kittens will be placed spayed or neutered, tested for feline aids/leukemia, and have all age appropriate shots. There will not be any placement of any cat or kitten that has not been spayed or neutered first. There will be no exceptions. This means that there is less out of pocket costs for people who adopt a cat or kitten from us and you will be in 100% COMPLIANCE WITH THE SPAY/NEUTER LAW TOO!

About Our Rescue Group...
Cat Adoption Team Services, (CATS) is a private, non profit, humane rescue group. Donations to CATS can be made through your work place going to the United Way. Just be sure to put Cat Adoption Team Services as the recipient of your donation.
Our number one goal is to promote the spaying and neutering of cats and kittens to help eliminate the over population problem and to help stem the needless killing of so many unwanted, unplanned, helpless cats and kittens. We do endorse the spaying and neutering of all companion animals. We strive to educate the general public of the importance of spay/neuter. We help facilitate the adoption of as many cats and kittens, as we can, to permanent, responsible, loving homes. We totally support the TNR concept and the benefits of TNR.
Come Meet Our Pets...
We are at the Providence Petco, located at 585 N. Main Street, Providence, RI every Sunday from 10 am to 3 pm and you are welcome to come by and see all the cats and kittens that are looking for new 'Forever Homes'. Hard copy medical records accompany each cat and kitten on adoption day as each cat or kitten is completely vetted prior to their adoption.

You may obtain an online application by logging on to CatAdoptionRI.org or by emailing catadoptionteam@aol.com. All of the cats and kittens are adopted out with Rhode Island State mandated proof of spay or neuter. In order to take your new cat or kitten home with you, there must be an approved application prior to adoption day. Application approval is usually within 24-48 hours.

The adoption donation is $150.00 each after an approved application. This is not a sale, but an adoption donation. The policy is that all of our cats and kittens will be adopted out spayed or neutered, tested for feline aids/leukemia, and have all age appropriate shots. There will not be any adoption of any cat or kitten that has not been spayed or neutered first. There will be no exceptions. This means that there is less out of pocket costs for people who adopt a cat or kitten from us and you will be in 100% COMPLIANCE WITH THE SPAY/NEUTER LAW TOO!

This is a real bargain as locally a spay is $270.00, plus shots and a $50.00 office visit. A neuter is usually $150.00, plus the $50.00 office visit and extra for shots. Many vets charge $48.50 to test for feline aids and luke, so as you can see, we are very reasonable!!

We feed only the best food as we believe that a healthy immune system is the cornerstone to a healthy cat or kitten.

We are in constant need of money and volunteers to do foster care as well as meet and greet the potential adopters at PETCO.

Our Adoption Process...
There is an application process and for each kitten or cat adopted there will be a $150.00 adoption donation to help defray our costs. Our adoption donation is still very competive as anyone who has been to the vets recently will attest to.
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
We try to serve as many communties as possible but since we are from East Providence, the East Bay area is our main focus. All lives are precious to us and we try not to turn down any animal, from any community, so long as we have space. Consider becoming a foster home and help us help these poor babies.
We also spend our money on the animals and are not interested in fattening our bank balances as some well known agencies continue to do.
