Patch's Story...
My name is Patch...I'm an old guy, 13 years old to be exact and my family ditched me.

I was very confused and quite cranky about the whole thing at first - which ended up with me being a bit vocal about my feelings and very very sad.

I've settled in now, and the nice side of my personality is emerging, although as an old fart I can be set in my ways. I like to be pet, but only when I say so, I'm cautious of men (the guy in my last home had a tendency to mistreat me so I am used to swift kicks, being yelled at and being sprayed in the face....didn't leave a real good impression, know what I mean?) but if you give me some space and let me work it out, we'll all get along just fine. I like other calm doggies, but pesky puppies get me all upset and fired up after a little while. I can do tricks and I take treats nicely. I do what I'm told if you know how to ask...don't yell at me, it doesn't work - but I do know a command when I hear one.

I like my foster home, they are nice to me, and they like me even though I'm cranky, but I really need a quiet permanent home where I can spend the rest of my days. My vets says I am in excellent shape, I still love to go on long walks and get very excited when anyone pulls out a leash because I think I should be going too!

Could you open your heart, accept me for who I am, and let me live with you??

My rescue says for the perfect home my adoption fee could be waived....its just real important that I find a nice home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Patch, a Vista Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Vista, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Vista.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vista already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vista breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vista paves the way for another one to be saved.
