Riley's Story...
Hi- I’m Riley! I am a super cute black and white male kitten. I was at a high kill shelter with my 3 siblings, with just hours left to live at the hands of shelter workers and thankfully the good people at A4A were able to pull us to safety just in time! Phew, that was close! I was covered in ticks, fleas and worms and I was starving. Now, thanks to A4A, I am happy, healthy and neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for FeLv, housetrained/litterbox trained and treated with a monthly preventative for ear mites, fleas and worms. I am approx. 12-13 weeks old (end of June 2012). I feel great! I am lots of fun, I love to play, do great with other cats/kittens and I like to be petted too. I am patiently waiting to find a loving, forever home to call my very own- I promise to love you lots and lots, forever!!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Riley, a Xenia Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Xenia, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Xenia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Xenia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Xenia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Xenia paves the way for another one to be saved.
