Callie's Story...
Callie is an adorable puppy! At about 4 months old, she is an iggy handful! She will require a home willing to educate themselves about IG puppies and keep her safe until she passes the "breaking" stage. She was turned in to IGCA Rescue because her new parents couldn't provide enough time for her.

Callie loves people and dogs. She requires LOTS of interaction. She is currently in a "dog room" situation in foster care as she is too young to crate. She shouldn't be expected to be housetrained or start using a crate for another 4 months or so. If you think you have the perfect home for Callie, get your application in!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Callie, a Oklahoma City Italian Greyhound puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Italian Greyhound for sale in Oklahoma City, or seeking a Italian Greyhound puppy from a breeder in Oklahoma City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oklahoma City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oklahoma City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Italian Greyhound breeders who help with Italian Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oklahoma City paves the way for another one to be saved.
