Dixie's Story...
Dixie is a beautiful, tan/fawn-colored 1-year-old female Kelpie mix. She was rescued from animal control and is now looking for a new life.

She is one happy playful girl. She loves to play with her doggy friends. She loves the dogs, and has always played well with them; she would do best in a house with other dogs. She does like her kennel as it is her place and she sleeps in her kennel at night as well.

Dixie is initially shy of new people and it takes her a while to warm up to her human friends. But after a little while she warms up and loves to plays with the family.

This pup is a courtesy post with Valley Dogs Rescue. Please contact nick@eccentricson.com or call (480) 331-2078 if you are interested in meeting this sweet dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dixie, a Gilbert Australian Kelpie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Kelpie for sale in Gilbert, or seeking a Australian Kelpie puppy from a breeder in Gilbert.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gilbert already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gilbert breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Kelpie breeders who help with Australian Kelpie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gilbert paves the way for another one to be saved.
