Charlie's Story...
Meet Charlie. He's a 1-1/2 year old shepherd mix weighing about 60 pound who is looking for his forever home. Charlie was adopted from a local shelter in December 2011, so he's UTD, HW negative, neutered & microchiped and ready to go. His new owner has had things change in her life and can no longer keep Charlie. Charlie loves all people. He's a sweet, friendly & playful boy. He's leash trained and housebroken. Charlie also loves to play with other dogs, but we don't know how he would do with cats. Would you like to make this fun loving energetic boy a part of your family? Rehome fee $80.00. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlie, a Baton Rouge Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
