Sissy's Story...
Sissy is a courtesy post for FIDO. She is about 8 years old. She is a petite and gentle beagle, she is up to date on her vaccines and is spayed. She was kept in a small cage and used for breeding all her life until F.I.D.O. stepped in and rescued her. She is sweet, loving and cuddly. She uses the doggie door to go outside at her foster home. I am not sure how well she would do if she didn't have easy access to the yard. sissy gets along with the other dogs. she has a hearty beagle appetite. she is an adult probably around seven years old. She also had a dental when she was spayed. She loves to cuddle and would make a wonderful low key pet for someone as she isn't at all demanding. She is simply grateful and happy for all the good things in her life. Please contact jchristoffersen@fidoindy.org or cashoaf@live.com for more information.

Contact Mindy at mmiller@beaglebuddies.org to obtain an application. Submit the application form and we will schedule a time to meet the pet. All dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, are up to date on vaccinations, and a copy of vet records is provided upon adoption to set up a file at your vet. We supply collar, temporary ID tag until you can use till you get one, and leash. All beagles are micro-chipped as well.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sissy, a Indianapolis Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Indianapolis, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Indianapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Indianapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Indianapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Indianapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
