Lucy's Story...
Hi, my name is Lucy. I was found near Lackland AFB. I living on the streets - hungry, thirsty and hoping a loving family would find and rescue me.

My foster mom has nursed me back to health and has provided the love and care I needed, but I would really like to find a loving family to share the rest of my life.
I love people, especially kids. I also get along very well with other dogs. I am gentle, loving, like to play, and cuddle at night to sleep. I behave very well as a passenger in a car, too.

Since I'm a young pup, I like to fetch and play with toys. I would really like a family who would take me on walks and will be patient with me. I'm still learning how to behave indoors, my foster (siblings) dogs are teaching me how to behave indoors and where/when to go potty outside. I'm a quick learner and I know I can be a fabulous family member!

If your are looking for a loyal, loving and caring friend for life, I'm the pet for you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a Schertz Boxer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Schertz, or seeking a Boxer puppy from a breeder in Schertz.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Schertz already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Schertz breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Schertz paves the way for another one to be saved.
