My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name: Maxie
Breed: Boston Terrier
Gender: Male
Age: 10
Personality: As my grandpa used to say, there may be snow on the roof, but that does not mean there is not a fire in the furnace. Max is a playful and spunky boy with tons of love.
Issues: Prefers a home where he is not left alone for long periods
Maxie's Story:
Meet Max AKA..Maxamillion, Maxie, Maxie-pants. Max came out of the South San Diego Shelter after being relinquished there by his owner. I am suspecting that his previous owner was likely a man as Max is over the top happy to interact with men. Max may be 10 years old, but this guy has the energy, spunk and playfulness of a much younger dog. He is extremely healthy even though he came out of the shelter with some diarrhea issues and kennel cough. Antibiotics have worked their magic and he is once again feeling as healthy as a horse. Max does have some very early formation of a cataract in his left eye, but his vision is extremely good now as the lizards and butterflies in my yard can attest to. Max is a true gentleman and has never had a single accident in my house. He will go to the door and scratch and whine when he needs to go out to do his business. His manners are impeccable and he loves to play with kids and other dogs. He has not been cat tested. He loves to play chase, tug and snuggle with other dogs. If they bark at him he just immediately turns and heads in the other direction. Max eats twice daily : duck and salmon small kibble from Natural Balance 1/2 cup with about 1/4 cup of Deli-Fresh chicken and vegetables mixed in for extra weight gain for him. He also has a little growth on his side but the vet did an aspirate biopsy on it and it is just a benign warty type growth. Max likes to either sleep in bed with you, or in a dog bed right next to your bed. He will whine a bit and bark for a fewmoments if you have to leave him and put him in his crate, but quickly quiets down and will often take his blanket and fluff it around until it has completly covered him up. Max is just plain fun and love and a gentleman.
