Lilly's Story...
Lilly is a tiny little sweetheart that came to us when we took a litter of 9 puppies into our rescues from a shelter in Hazelton, PA where they were taken by an individual stating that she had found them in a box on the side of a very busy highway. They were estimated to be 8 weeks old but we now realize after visiting our vet that they are even younger at only 4 weeks old and between 2 and 3 lbs! They are in some of our foster homes and being socialized, getting some special food & supplements and will be vaccinated once they are of age to do so. They visited the vet 5.29.2012, were weighed, got their first rounds of dewormer and some special food and supplements to help with their growth and because they are underweight. They will be getting lots of positive socialization and start working on house training and basic manners. They will need adoptive homes who are committed to socialization and training to help them reach their full potential! Their furever homes will need to use positive reinforcement training and practice responsible owner/guardianship. For more info on adding one of these puppies to your family email Adoption application, reference check, home visit and adoption fee required.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lilly, a Hillsborough Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Hillsborough, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Hillsborough.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hillsborough already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hillsborough breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hillsborough paves the way for another one to be saved.
