Rocky Road's Story...
OK. So here's a normal day in the life of Cindy and Beth. We finish a long day at the adoption center and start to lock up. When we get outside, we hear a man screaming, "Don't move! Stop!" Then we see a lady in a car paralyzed with fear. Is she being robbed? Should we call 911? Then we hear the scream of a baby kitten. The man screams, "There's a kitten under your tire!" Cindy bends down and plucks out Rocky Road. A tiny, baby kitten who's pretty messed up. We have no room for him, so we proceed to pay to have him boarded and nursed back to health at a veterinary office. A couple of weeks later, he's a healthy, adoptable kitten. The stuffed dog you see has been with him since the beginning and he nurses off of it. He had a best bud named Jerome who just got adopted, so now it's just Rocky Road and his stuffed dog. Please adopt them! The stuffed dog is complimentary!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky Road, a Deerfield Beach Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Deerfield Beach, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Deerfield Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Deerfield Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Deerfield Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Deerfield Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
