My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Muffin is stunning and she knows it. She is quite a little diva and definitely used to getting her way. A little shy at first, but if she decides she likes you; she’ll be your shadow. She currently lives with a foster family that has children and two labs. She is housetrained and sleeps in a crate at night. She loves to play ball, play with her toys, and go for walks. Muffin led a pretty sheltered life, so she has some common socialization issues. She loves her foster mom and the kids, but she is very uncomfortable around men. She also gets very jealous if the other dogs approach when she is getting one-on-one attention from the family members and will growl and try to nip at them. Otherwise, she is fine with the other dogs. Muffin is 5 years old, fixed, up to date on all her vaccinations and flea/tick medication.

The perfect home for Muffin will be one that has had experience with these types of behavioral issues and will be committed to work on socialization/training to help Muffin become the best she can be. As she does need to work on some training issues, we wouldn’t recommend a home with young children. As with many cocker spaniels, she’ll need to have her ears kept clean to prevent infection and frequent bathing/grooming to prevent skin issues.

History: Muffin and her companion, Bosco, were recently surrendered by their owner to Life’s Little Paws. Victims of the economy, their lifetime owner was unable to keep them up to date with vetting and address their health issues. Muffin arrived with an ear infection and some minor skin issues. Her companion was in much worse shape. Bosco was lucky and a vet tech fell in love with him and adopted him. Muffin is now waiting for her perfect home.

Muffin is fostered in Connecticut. Her adoption fee is $300. If you’re interested in adopting Muffin, please go to www.lifeslittlepaws.com and complete an application. A Little Paws representative will contact you.
