My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pasha – male, vet checked, vaccinated to date, neutered, ~40lbs, 7yrs, Beagle.

Pasha is uneasy around the special needs toddler in the home and spends most of his day hiding away from his family on the upper level of the home. Sadly, his owners feel he would be happier in a new home.

Pasha is a friendly boy, he is a slightly taller and stockier Beagle but is still only about knee height, he is in good shape! He loves to get outdoors with his family or just hang out inside with them. He’s at a great age that is well past the mischievous puppy age but settled in to a nice, mellow, easy going adult still with lots of energy, life and love to give. Pasha is good with other dogs, cats and respectful children. He has come from a home with a large dog and a feline. Pasha would be a perfect second dog! He is good with kids but smaller children make him anxious and he often moves himself to a quieter part of the home so he is better suited to a home with no small kids around full time. Pasha would be a great pal for older children that can help with caring for the family dog, he loves his walks and absolutely adores attention from humans, he’d love to join you at the kids sporting events or for walks to and from school. Pasha knows some basic commands, he is crate trained and fully house trained. Pasha is calm, clean and quiet when left alone and actually prefers to be in the safety and comfort of his crate. Pasha isn’t overly vocal, he will let you know when someone is at the door but otherwise keeps his voice to an “indoor tone” with cute whimpers if he wants your attention or needs to go outside. Being a typical Beagle Pasha loves to sniff and follow his nose so he should never be off leash unless in a securely fenced yard, he is used to being on a tie out while camping, but a house with a fenced yard is best for him. He also LOVES his food so care needs to be take not over feed or leave tasty snacks at the edge of the counter tops and make sure all garbage cans are out of reach. Pasha doesn’t mind car rides, he loves to go camping and just generally join his family on outings. He can be left alone for typical 9-5 work hours. He is friendly and well mannered enough to join you at a canine friendly work place or go to doggy day care every once in a while. A mature boy like Pasha is a great addition to any home looking for a nice but active dog that doesn’t need very much training. Did you know Beagles can live as long as 15 years?! Pasha needs a house with a fenced yard.
