Erin's Story...
Please contact Terry ( for more information about this pet.

Little Erin has had a very tough young life.  She was born last summer to a very sweet young momma cat named Emma.  One of our volunteers was kind enough to foster the small family until the babies were old enough for adoption.  About a week after the babies were weened Emma got very sick.  She was rushed to the emergency vet who diagnosed her with heartworms.  Emma gave everything she had to caring for her babies and she was tired.  We had to say good bye to Emma that night.  The kittens stayed in their foster home and eventually all were adopted.  Little Erin has had a home for 8 months but, due to no fault of her own, the people decided they no longer want her.  Erin is a very sweet little girl and deserves a REAL loving home with a family who will not discard her as if she doesn't matter.  Please come meet Erin and see how sweet and beautiful she is.  Maybe you will be the one who gives her the forever home she deserves.

We are currently seeking a foster home for Erin so that we can take her back and know she is safe.  She is unfortunately still with the people who do not want her.  If you would like to foster this sweet girl please contact Terry immediately at 864.483.2444 or by email at

Better photos to come.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Erin, a Waxhaw Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Waxhaw, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Waxhaw.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waxhaw already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waxhaw breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waxhaw paves the way for another one to be saved.
