Hilo is one of the sweetest boys you'll ever meet. He just wants to be close to you - snuggling in bed or on your lap watching TV with you. If you want a kitty that you know will want your attention and love, he's your boy ! He’s got a little treasure trove of toys that he enjoys playing with and pouncing on… his favorite are the little mice toys he can chase around and throw in the air - and of course he's always a fan of toys with catnip.
Hilo LOVES to give kisses…he’s very endearing! He’s always hanging out with his foster mom while she's getting ready for work, laying in bed, making dinner, watching TV… he’s her fulltime buddy ! He loves to be petted and given attention and is great with families and children. He would be best in a home without another kitty - he really just wants you all to himself ! ... but he has been around an older cat friendly dog and did great !

Rescue Group Info...
We are a relatively new no-kill rescue group in Wake Forest, that takes in stray and abandoned cats / kittens, and then works to find them their forever homes. All of our animals are tested, vaccinated and have either been spayed or neutered. Although we currently have a wonderful all-volunteer staff, we always need more help (foster homes, fundraising, PR, website work, newsletters, etc). If you are interested in volunteering (even for just a few hours) or donating to help us rescue more cats and kittens, please contact us !!
We list all of our adoption events and our available kitties on our website: www.HobbesHouse.org . Our adoption events are normally held each weekend at the PetSmart at BrierCreek ( Saturday from 11 - 2 and Sunday from 12:30 - 3:30 )

We require that you fill out an application. If you live in an apartment, we then call them to insure they allow pets. If you have owned a pet before, we contact your vet for a reference.
After these two things have been done, we then contact you to discuss your application.
Our adoption fee is $100 for non- microchipped cats and $115 for microchipped cats, which covers our basic medical costs (vaccines, Feline Leukemia / FIV testing and spay/neuter).
