Nicky's Story...
Nicky is a beautiful, 3-year-old Maine Coon type kitty who was abandoned at the city shelter just before Memorial Day with the excuse, "Allergies." We rescued Nicky just before euthanasia, and have been fostering her. Nicky is a perfectly delightful cat. He loves being picked up and petted. She likes to cuddle in the bed with her person. And Nicky loves to chat. She is quite the vocal kitty. Nicky is very good around other animals and doesn't seem to have a mean bone in her body. She is simply a beautiful girl through and through. If interested in gorgeous Nicky, please call us, rather than email. We can't imagine that we will have this sweetheart very long!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nicky, a New York Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in New York, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
