Maxine's Story...
Hi! I’m little Maxine and I’m as cute and loving as can be. My foster family calls me a little love-bug, and I don’t mind the nickname at all! We love to play, to be petted and to be held and to snuggle. We are happy, friendly, loving kittens! We are approx.5 months old at the end of October 2012. I am now spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, tested negative for FeLv and I am housetrained/litterbox trained. We (my siblings and I) were all rescued from an OH kill shelter by A4A- just in time. We had severe eye infections when we were rescued and the shelter did not want to spend the money and time on our treatment—so we are VERY lucky to be rescued by A4A. We are now healthy and ready to find loving, forever homes to each call our very own! And remember- if you adopt 2 of us, there are MANY benefits to adopting 2 kittens versus one! (Just do a quick Google search to learn more).

I do have a cloudy eye that was checked out by the vet and she said it was nothing to worry about and it does not affect me at all. I am just as cute, cuddly, and energetic as a kitten can be!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maxine, a Xenia Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Xenia, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Xenia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Xenia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Xenia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Xenia paves the way for another one to be saved.
