DAWN's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

DAWN's Story...
Dawn came into our rescue when her elderly owner could no longer care for her. She was born February 2011. She had not been spayed as her former owner was a backyard breeder but Dawn has never had puppies. She is now spayed so that will never happen. Dawn is a happy, VERY friendly, little girl. Her tail wags constantly and she loves being near her foster Mom. Comes when she is called, crate trained and has now almost mastered being fully housebroken. She gets along with all the other dogs in her foster homes, even the 100 lb boys. Dawn is truly a gem. She is heartworm negative, vaccinated, spayed and microchipped. Dawn is even trained on a PetSafe radio fence. Paw-fect little sweetheart! Want to make her a member of your family? Please email vivgraves@hotmail.com for more information and an application. Adoption fee to help defray veterinary costs applies to approved home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

DAWN, a Franklinton Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Franklinton, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Franklinton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Franklinton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Franklinton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Franklinton paves the way for another one to be saved.
