Junior's Story...
Hi, my name's Junior and I'm an 8 week old Dachshund/Beagle puppy. My owner brought me into the shelter with my brother and sisters because they had an accidental litter and couldn't find good homes for us puppies. My mom is a Beagle Dachshund mix, and my dad is a Dachshund, so I'm mostly Dachshund with a little bit of Beagle. I was bathed and flea treated as soon as I got to the shelter, and was also dewormed. I was neutered and had my first shots on June 18th. Now all I need is someone to give me a home and love me! Do you think you have room in your house for a sweet little boy like me? The shelter is open on Tuesday's and Thursday's from 1-8 and Wednesday's and Friday's from 1-5, come visit me!! You can see some of our adoptable pets almost every Saturday at the Petsmart in Greensburg from noon to 6pm and some Sundays too. All adoption fees include spay/neuter and up-to-date vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Junior, a Youngwood Dachshund/Beagle puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Beagle for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a Dachshund/Beagle puppy from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Beagle breeders who help with Dachshund/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
