ECHO's Story...
5/11/12~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Pictures when first taken into rescue after pulling Echo from a dog shelter-pound, originally had alot of fur loss. Echo is a 2 y/o (or younger) male Weimaraner mix possibly with Lab Retriever.....He was captured by a dog warden -- very emaciuated and with fur loss. He'd apparently been like this for awhile. Wonderful temperament boy! Very easy going. We've learned that Echo, with a few medicated baths and antibiotics -- should grow back his gray colored coat. It will take a few weeks. Pictures will be updated as Echo gains weight and improves....He should weigh in the 65 pound range when healthy. Crate trained, likes to be with people and receive attention, has been fine with other dogs. Cats unknown. Needs work on leash walking. Adoption fee includes: neuter, vaccine update, heartworm check (negative), stool check & microchip. Adoption fee $165. Taking applications please email for application or go to to download.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

ECHO, a Toledo Labrador Retriever/Weimaraner dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Weimaraner for sale in Toledo, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Weimaraner dog from a breeder in Toledo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toledo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toledo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Weimaraner breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Weimaraner rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toledo paves the way for another one to be saved.
