Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jefferson came into rescue with Dickens(also listed). Both of these boys came from a very good home but their mom and dad developed health issues and taking care of themselves and the dogs became too much so they asked if we could find them new homes. Both boys are purebred cavalier king charles spaniels. Jefferson has papers but Dickens does not. Jefferson is approx 3 years old and is a sweet boy. He is VERY overweight and we will be trying to get that under control. He had never been exposed to cats in his former home so he is not sure what to make of them. I think he would be fine in a home with cats once he adjusted to them but he will bark at them initially and may test boundaries about what he is allowed to do with them. Jefferson is housebroken but is a bit out of practice as his former mom and dad's health issues limited their ability to walk them(they did not have a fenced in yard) and this lack of exercise probably didn't help their weight any. He is good with kids and other dogs and prefers to be inside out of the heat. To ensure a great home for this dog and also to assist with his care and vetting while with us, his adoption fee will be $300. Please fill out our adoption application and e-mail your interest in Jefferson. You may also call (352)493-1255 for more information-leave detailed message please! E-mail is preferred.
