Josie (polydactyl)'s Story...
Hi! I'm Josie. When people see me, the first thing they usually say is "Oh what a pretty face" and the second thing they always say is "My, What Big Feet You Have!". I can't help it... I have lots of extra toes! Five extra if I count correctly :) I'm a really sweet girl who needs a new home because my parents are going their separate ways and niether of them can take me with them. Bummer! Can you give me a good home? If so, please call Sherri directly at 480-860-9434.

Josie came into foster care following a complete Wellness Exam on May 25, 2012. She is Vaccinated, Spayed, Microchipped, FIV and Leukemia Negative, No Parasites, No Ear Mites.

She has interesting markings - the black “teardrop” on her nose gives her a whimsical appearance. She has greenish-yellow eyes. AND THEN THERE ARE THOSE TOES!!! 7 on the front paw and 6 on each of the back ones! This girl looks like she’s walking on snowshoes!

Josie adjusted very nicely to her new environment... She enjoys play. She's interactive with a fishing pole toy and entertains herself with her playthings. This gentle kitty is also affectionate. SHE IS AN ABSOLUTE TREASURE! If you can give Josie a good home, please call Sherri directly at 480-860-9434.

Note: Josie has been listed here as part of our List an Animal Program and is not in the custody of Four Peaks Animal Rescue (4PAR). As such, the description above was derived from the description provided by her current family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Josie (polydactyl), a Scottsdale Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Scottsdale, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Scottsdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Scottsdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Scottsdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Scottsdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
