Stanley's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, and up to date with shots.

Stanley's Story...
Stanley is my name. I'm a mix of sorts. Jack Russell and Dachshund is what I'm told (about 18 months old). I'm lots of fun, as you would imagine and pretty darn smart since I'm house trained and I'm a good walker on a leash. I'll whine when I need to got outside to do my business.
Yes, I'm neutered and proud of it! I guess I could get use to having to share with another dog in the house, but quite frankly, I'm very affectionate and really don't want to share. I'd rather hang out with a cat than another dog who might get some of MY attention.
Oh, and if it's okay with you, I'd really like to cuddle up in your lap. Like I said, I love lots of affection. Belly rubs are good too. My care takers have made sure I'm in great health and I'm ready to go. I know you think I'm cute. Who wouldn't?

We are now accepting applications for Stanley. All of our dogs are adopted as family pets and not as outside dogs. We prefer older children who can help walk and care for Stanley.
Please note our guide lines for adoption on our home page.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stanley, a Big Canoe Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund for sale in Big Canoe, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Big Canoe.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Big Canoe already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Big Canoe breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Big Canoe paves the way for another one to be saved.
