Minka's Story...
Minka is a spunky 2-year-old American Eskimo mix who was originally pulled from a shelter in Michigan. She has the temperament and personality of an American Eskimo – she just has short hair! True to her breed, Minka is wary of strangers at first and can take some time to warm up to new people. Once she's comfortable with you, Minka loves to cuddle on the couch – she's even been known to curl up on her foster mom's lap from time to time! Minka is very well-behaved in the house, fully house-trained, and is doing well in her crate training. Her favourite things in life include walks, frolicking in the snow, and playing with her blanket and towels. She also enjoys her training sessions and is very smart and food-motivated.

Minka is good with most dogs and gets along well with her current dog-sister. She has not been tested with cats, but could probably co-exist with a confident cat who is used to dogs. Minka has a bad habit of barking at strangers who get too close during walks and she needs calm and quiet introductions to new people, though this is improving over time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Minka, a Mississauga American Eskimo Dog/Spitz (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Eskimo Dog/Spitz (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Mississauga, or seeking a American Eskimo Dog/Spitz (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Mississauga.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mississauga already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mississauga breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Eskimo Dog/Spitz (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with American Eskimo Dog/Spitz (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mississauga paves the way for another one to be saved.
