Aretha's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Aretha's Story...
Aretha is so sweet. She is 5 years old and currently being treated for hypothyroidism. The medication is helping her so much. She is getting energy back and her fosters are working with her to help her lose weight. She is on track to becoming fit and fabulous. No behavioral issues, and just a daily pill for her thyroid makes her a very low maintenance "special needs" dog. Please consider Aretha if looking to add a dog to your family, she would make a wonderful addition to anyone's home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Aretha, a Birmingham American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog for sale in Birmingham, or seeking a American Bulldog dog from a breeder in Birmingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Birmingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Birmingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog breeders who help with American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Birmingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
