Chief's Story...
Hi everyone, my name is Chief! Wild Dog Rescue pulled me from a local shelter and I am so happy that they did. I am an older guy but don't let that fool you, I will still play! The volunteers love to play with me. If they throw the rope I bring it back and give it to them. I won't hang onto it, I will let go, that's just me being nice! I love people and love to be petted. I am a little overweight so they started me on a diet and very soon I will be moving even faster! So, if you are looking for a low key, medium energy lovable dog please consider coming to see me. I promise I will love you from the moment we meet...promise!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chief, a Fennville Chesapeake Bay Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chesapeake Bay Retriever for sale in Fennville, or seeking a Chesapeake Bay Retriever dog from a breeder in Fennville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fennville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fennville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chesapeake Bay Retriever breeders who help with Chesapeake Bay Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fennville paves the way for another one to be saved.
