Update 06/16/12: Baxter is home from the vet and in need of isolation and lots of TLC. This poor little boy is in just awful condition. Since he was picked up as a stray, we have no idea how this happened, whether he was out on his own for a long time, or not take care of properly. He's going to get all the love and care he could ever want now! Please help with his medical bills if you can. Any amount is graciously accepted and appreciated. Baxter thanks you!

Initial Bio 06/15/12: Baxter was rescued yesterday from a high-kill shelter in Fort Worth, Texas. He is in really bad shape, but we're working on getting him all well again. This poor little guy is covered in scabs, has an Upper Respiratory Infection, ears infected, and the bottoms of his feet are raw. Baxter spent last night at the vet's office and after a bath and some hair clipped and started on medication, is beginning to look better. He will need to be isolated for two weeks for his URI, and then he'll be well on the road to his forever family. Baxter has already been spayed.
