My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Little Black Bart was rescued with his mama and siblings from a north Texas shelter; his mama had been running loose - pregnant - and delivered her babies soon after being picked up and taken to the pound. No one came to claim Janey or her babies. Bart is one of three boys in the litter, and can hold his own in the rough & tumble games (though he does protest loudly when the others get rough). He loves to be held, and will snuggle for as long as you like. Bart is learning to potty on the piddle pads, and does very well at this point. He is 10 weeks old and weighs only 4 pounds (his mama weighs 9 pounds). We do not know what kind of dog fathered Bart, but suspect he was a long haired Chihuahua or a Pomeranian, due to the thick, soft coat Bart and the others have. Bart would do best in a home with older children (over 8 years), due to his small size. To see more photos of Black Bart and his siblings, please click here. Bart says "Please hurry!
