Marley's Story...

Meet Marley.  He is one year old male weimarnaer.  When Marley came to my home, he had just had a cast removed from his broken leg.  After several weeks recouping, Marley is full of energy and loving life.  He rides great in the car, and likes to go on trips with his foster family.  He does very well with other dogs, but do not know about cats.  He is great with adults and older children.  Not sure how he would be around young children.  He loves to sleep in bed with his foster family at night, and sleeps all night long.  He will also sleep well on his dog bed in his foster parents bedroom at night.  He is potty trained with a dog door at his foster home, but is able to be inside in his room all day without any accidents while his foster family is away.  Marley does not do well when crated and left alone.  However, he will ride perfectly in the car inside his crate when needed.  Marley will need an active home as he is a young guy that likes to run and play in his fenced yard and plenty of toys to play with and chew on.  Cape Giradeua MO

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Marley, a St. Louis Weimaraner dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Weimaraner for sale in St. Louis, or seeking a Weimaraner dog from a breeder in St. Louis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Louis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Louis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Weimaraner breeders who help with Weimaraner rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Louis paves the way for another one to be saved.
