Adam's Story...
Adam is an adorable male kitten looking for a loving inside home. He is litter box trained and is playful and friendly. His mom has tested negative for Feline Leukemia which means the kittens are negative as well. Testing a kitten this young can often result in an incorrect reading. He looks like a black kitty, but has faint striping like a tabby "behind the black".

Adam will be UTD on shots. He is too young for neutering so that will be left to the adopter. He was born 3/24/12.

If you can offer Adam the home he dreams of, please complete our online application (deaddogswalkingntn.com under "dog adoption". Please select "cat" from the drop-down menu.

He is in East Tennessee in foster care and will be transported upon adoption. All Paws Transport charges $75 for their services. An adoption fee will also apply to cover the cost of her vetting and health certificate required by the transport company.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Adam, a Providence Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Providence, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Providence.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Providence already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Providence breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Providence paves the way for another one to be saved.
