Stubby's Story...
Male, white, 1 years old. Natural ears, docked tail. Stubby was born Feb 2011. He is a very sweet loving dog. he forgets he isnt a lap dog anymore. He loves his squeaky toy and going to the dog park. The owner had unexpected orders to relocate, and cannot take Stubby with them. They are very concerned that this guy goes to a good home and gets the kind of love and attention that they have given him.

He was just at the vet for his monthly check up two weeks ago and the report is excellent. He goes every month since he was aon the Banefield healthy dog plan. He takes trifexis for parasites. He has all his paperwork as well. He is a big dopey guy and weighed 72.80lbs on his last vet visit.

He has no signs of food agression. He gets along with other dogs big or small. He loves running with older childern (previous owner's daughter was 10) however, he tends to scare the younger ones.

The natural ears fit his dopey personality and are floppy to. He does get seperation anxiety and will destroy things if left to roam while your leave. The owner tried the thundercoat, the phereom emitters and various other things the vet suggested. Caging when leaving the house turned out to be the best solution.

Stubby is staying with his original owner until the last moment they have together, which is the end of June. If you are interested in meeting Stubby, or finding out more about his story, please contast Aztec, and we can arrange a mutual meeting.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stubby, a Santee Doberman Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Doberman Pinscher for sale in Santee, or seeking a Doberman Pinscher dog from a breeder in Santee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Doberman Pinscher breeders who help with Doberman Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santee paves the way for another one to be saved.
