Duke's Story...
Duke is almost 6 months old. He is a playful, confident pup. A smart boy that will learn quickly. He likes water. Duke is learning to walk with a pack. He has a beautiful face. Duke will make a great family dog! I would like to see him go to a home with a fence only because he likes to sit on the deck and watch the bird and because he is so friendly. Don't let his age stop you, This boy wants and is eager to learn. You don't have to do the potty training. He's not biting at your hands and feet (those puppy teeth hurt, lol). He's crate trained but can sleep at night outside the crate. He plays really well with his 2 foster 3 month old pups. He is also neutered. Duke is a great dog and waiting for the right person to give him a forever home. He is being fostered in VT. If you are interested in adopting, please go to www.whiteriveranimalrescue.org and fill out an application. NOTE: IF THE DOG YOU ARE INTERESTED IN HAPPENS TO BE LOCATED IN A FOSTER HOME HERE IN NEW ENGLAND, YOU MUST HAVE A FULLY APPROVED APPLICATION WITH US . WRAR will only adopt a puppy (under 5 months of age) to adopters that are either home ALL day long or can bring the puppy to work. There are NO exceptions to this. WRAR only adopts to adults over the age of 25.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duke, a New Boston German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in New Boston, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in New Boston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Boston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Boston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Boston paves the way for another one to be saved.
