My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dupree is looking for a foster home. Can you help?
Dupree is an approximately 2 year old mantle male with natural ears. Update 7/5/12 - I visited Dupree at the kennel today. He is doing well. He is getting along with everyone (employees include a 16 year old and an 18 year old girl). He is "barky" at the gate (as were most of the dogs there) but once he was let out into the play area he was fine. The kennel personnel do not feel the barking is aggression, more of a "let me out". He took treats very gently and sat on command. He played a bit with the toys I brought him. I got leans while I was petting him. I am told that he loves to visit with the other dogs and has never shown aggression towards any of the other dogs. He is a sweet boy and he enjoys the time he spends with the kennel personnel. The foster had questioned his vision, especially in the dark, and we are still questioning it as the owner said that when she comes to check on the dogs at night he will let out a growl until she says his name and he knows who she is. Once he knows it is her, he wags his tail. We can't really explore this until he is in a foster home.

Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League can only adopt within its incorporated area (eastern NY, eastern PA, NJ, DE, WV, MD, and VA). For more information on our adoption policies please visit our website: www.magdrl.org To adopt a Great Dane under 2 you must have traditional fencing (no electronic fences permitted).
