My story

DOLLY
Female Shih Tzu
Age: 2-3 years old

.Dolly is 2-3 years old and came to us from a shelter in Eastern KY. She entered the shelter very matted and with demodex mites. As her demodex treatment progresses, her skin is healing nicely and her coat is growing in uniformly. Dolly has a beautiful, unusual merle pattern on her back and rear. She's charcoal gray with patterns of white and black on her chest and back.

Dolly is good with other dogs, but you can tell she'd prefer to have her own people. She would be fine as an only dog. She's housetrained, social, and likes to curl up in her little bed. Dolly is quiet, confident and very sweet. Don't be surprised when she rolls over in your arms for a good bellyrub. She'll give you one or two little kisses, then roll around for another rub. She's never barked, but we assume she will at some point. She occasionally plays with toys by carrying and tossing them. It's almost like she's remembering what to do with toys.

We'll keep you updated on this happy little girl as we learn more about Dolly. She's a sweetie, that's for sure.
