Ricco's Story...
This sweet little boy is Ricco. He became a member of the SCARS family today and is currently in foster and doing great with his new foster sister. Poor Ricco has had it rough in his short life. He was adopted from the shelter and then was starved & neglected by his "family". So the awesome shelter director tracked him down and took him away from his abusers. He now needs a safe & loving forever home that won't mistreat him! Look into those eyes.....he wants & needs a family of his own to love. Won't you be that family and show him that there are good people in this scary world? He loves other dogs his own size but can be a little too rough for small fragile dogs. Look at that face!!! So sweet!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ricco, a Claypool American Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Claypool, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Claypool.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Claypool already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Claypool breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Claypool paves the way for another one to be saved.
