DUKE's Story...
Hello I am Duke and I am a lethal white aussie with bright blue eyes. I was a year old in May. I am very laid back for a aussie but that is pretty normal for a lethal. I love to play or just follow you around, I am terrific with kids and would love to have a family with kids to play with me. I am house trained and love to sleep on the floor right next to your bed. I am called a lethal white because i was born from two merles which is called a double merle. Being a lethal ; I am deaf but that doesnt stop me for having a great time playing with other dogs. I come to you with hand signals and I dont even know i am deaf. I would make a great family dog but i would prefer another dog to follow, it is just easier for me if i have another doggy brother or sister. If you would like to meet me call elise at 816-898-5646 or email cbush86975@aol.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

DUKE, a Overland Park Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
