Carla's Story...
Hello! My name is Carla! I am a 2 year old Golden Retriever mix of some sort! I am a pretty good dog to have around too! I get along with children and other dogs. I sleep next to the bed in a basket or on the bed if I am allowed. I like to carry around my blanket and that makes me very happy. I am completely housetrained and walk nicely on a leash.
I am in my second round of training and they tell me I am doing well. I have a hiccup (that’s what my foster Mom calls it) once in awhile and we just go back and refresh my memory. What we are currently working on is staying put when the front door is open (they don’t want me to rush out and play “catch me if you can”), coming to my foster Mom or Dad when they call me and going in and out of the gate on the fence when I’m told to do so. I am not supposed to open the door by myself for some reason!
Note from Foster Mom: Carla is truly a treasure. She does so badly want to be in a forever home and we will work with the right family with her training for as long as it takes to ensure that you are comfortable with her training so that she does not attempt to slip back into her old habits. As with all rescue animals, she will take some patience, but you will be paid back tenfold with the love and joy she will bring to your family.

For additional information, please email Our adoption fee is $250 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Carla, a Alpharetta Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Alpharetta, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Alpharetta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Alpharetta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Alpharetta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Alpharetta paves the way for another one to be saved.
