Mercy's Info...

I am good with cats.

Mercy's Story...
Mercy is one of the mama cats rescued off of Helms Rd with her 6 babies. They went to a wonderful foster home & of course, the kittens are getting adopted (through other rescue friends), but Mom will need some help.

She is very young (less than a yr... probably 8 mos or so, very pretty, and very loving. She did her best to feed her poor little babies while living in filth underneath a trailer. Mom & kittens were all dehydrated and covered in fleas & parasites. They were all in very poor condition and I really think that, if i had not rescued them when i did, they would only have made it a few more days. An elderly man was supposed to be feeding them but they had no clean water and were trying to survive in filthy conditions.

FROM FOSTER MOM:

Mom is doing great now in foster home, but now it is her time to have a permanent family!
Mercy has a wonderful disposition - very sweet and good natured. She is friendly and affectionate, and also gets along fine with other cats (I have three of my own). She's a peach - I've had no problems with her whatsoever. Now that she only has two kittens left to worry about, she is more relaxed and plays with them like she's one of them (she is young, after all) - very cute!

Mercy will be fully vetted and spayed before adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mercy, a Waxhaw Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Waxhaw, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Waxhaw.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waxhaw already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waxhaw breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waxhaw paves the way for another one to be saved.
