Scorpio's Story...
Hi, my name is Scorpio and I was born in March of 2012 (approximation).

My siblings and I are from the last litter from a 16 adult cat colony in Cutlerville. There were over 22 kittens born there and Carol agreed to take all of us from the lady if she got all her adults spayed/neutered. The woman did exactly as Carol asked, so all the adults got fixed and all us kittens were put in the adoption program.

I am a little shy around people yet but if you pick me up and work with me, I eventually calm down and relax. I need a gentle touch and patience; sometimes I can be a little anti-social or grumpy, but overall I am a nice kitten! I would love to go home with a sibling or a fellow kitten to keep me busy!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scorpio, a Grand Rapids Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Grand Rapids, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Grand Rapids.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Rapids already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Rapids breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Rapids paves the way for another one to be saved.
