Hello! My name is Taco! I am a female, 15 week old, short haired, Tortie mix. I was taken in by The PRC after being abandoned in a pet store parking lot. I am a very sweet, playful, good mannered kitty! I lived with a foster for about 3 weeks and did so well! I really like other animals, especially big dogs and I am great with kids. I love playing with toys and I am a ton of fun, but I am a great cuddle partner as well. I have been spayed, microchipped and I am current on vaccines. Please come visit with me and see if i am the one for you!
Pets are visited by appointment (times are flexible). Please email us at adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org to arrange a meeting time. This process allows potential adopters to spend adequate time with their prospective pet and prevents long wait times.
All interested parties must fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed to find the best possible match. Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs and $150 for cats, and includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming, regular veterinary check-ups, and current vaccinations. This fee helps to defray the costs of medical care, supplies and boarding while the animals are in our care.
The Pet Rescue Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization that seeks to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome pets from high kill shelters and is temporarily housed inside the Alicia Pet Care Center at 25800 Jeronimo Rd. Suite 100, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.

Our goal is to work with the community and animal rescue groups to provide a no-kill, temporary sanctuary for pets in need of a home. In this effort, we will provide a safe, clean and caring facility to effectively enable rescued pets to find a family. In addition, The Pet Rescue Center will allocate financial grants, as they are available, to assist families undergoing financial hardship to provide lifesaving treatments for their pet.
The Pet Rescue Center is a non-profit organization that relies on the donations of animal lovers nationwide to help us achieve these goals.

Since we have kitties at both locations it may be easiest for you to call or email us so we can let you know what location the kitty you are interested in meeting is in.
We require you to fill out an adoption application and if approved you will sign an adoption contract and pay the adoption fee for that animal. Adoption fees are $150 for cats and $300 for dogs.
