Yoda's Story...
Hello, Yoda I am, a very powerful Jedi Master. How does a Jedi Master end up homeless you ask? Well, one night in a galaxy far far away… too many biscuits I had. Used The Force in a negative way I did.… Lived with 2 big dogs who tested my powers. Show them the power of a Jedi master I did. Upset my people it did, so at the shelter I am. Get along with small dogs I do, greatly. Functioning well with some of the big dogs here I am…but still, best I go home to a house with small dogs only because that’s what I prefer. Toddlers have also tested my Jedi way…but I love cuddling up with older kids. Loved the teens I lived with I did. Really smart and affectionate fella I am…just read up on my breed, we are special little dogs, but not for everyone. A true Peke, which means I have a royal heritage, and I expect to be respected that way. Don’t worry pay you back for your services with cuddle time and licks that I will. 8 years old-14lbs. My adoption fee is $140 and includes; neuter, microchip, 1 month pet health insurance, free vet exam, reduced cost training class, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Yoda, a Portland Pekingese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pekingese for sale in Portland, or seeking a Pekingese dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pekingese breeders who help with Pekingese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
