Cody's Story...
Born Jan. 2010, Cody lost his home when his elderly owner moved to assisted living and no other family members were able to take Cody. He's absolutely gorgeous with long flowing coat of white with tan patches. He has been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and is negative for heartworms. Daily brushing is necessary to prevent tangling. Cody will stand on his hind feet and shake his front feet in the air begging for a treat or attention. He likes children, but is not a suitable playmate for any unsupervised children. He has a dominant, king of the castle," love me, love me, love me or I'll turn you into a toad" kind of personality.. Cody weighs eight pounds.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cody, a Chapel Hill Pomeranian/Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pomeranian/Maltese for sale in Chapel Hill, or seeking a Pomeranian/Maltese dog from a breeder in Chapel Hill.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chapel Hill already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chapel Hill breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pomeranian/Maltese breeders who help with Pomeranian/Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chapel Hill paves the way for another one to be saved.
