Sid is actually the pup of Ria. We have no idea what his mix might be but his mom is definitely a Norwegian Elkhound Mix. He is about 6 months old. He is great with other dogs, cats and kids. He is up to date on shots, fixed and microchipped. If you are interested in a dog, please go to www.tailsofcourage.org to fill out an application, and email to tailsofcourage@optonline.net. We are NOT a shelter, we are a group of foster homes in various states, please be respectful of the hours you call. Adoption fee $400.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sid, a Danbury Norwegian Elkhound puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Norwegian Elkhound for sale in Danbury, or seeking a Norwegian Elkhound puppy from a breeder in Danbury.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Danbury already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Danbury breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Norwegian Elkhound breeders who help with Norwegian Elkhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Danbury paves the way for another one to be saved.
