My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Update 02/13/09: Fayne just turned 9 yrs old on Jan. 13th. I never tire of telling how neat she is. She continues to be a joy and so funny.

She must be watched closely for mouth infections that crop up from time to time. Faynes eats soft food because of that. She is still on pulse therapy (antibiotics off and on).

Update 12/19/08: Fayne will soon to be 9 years old on 1/13/09, and weighs 6.7 pounds. She continues to entertain us bouncing around. Loves belly rubs, ear scratches, her place on the couch to curl up, her bean bag chair and watching out the patio window, and romping through the house. She will yelp occasionally to alert me when the other dogs are bugging her, but is mostly quiet. Her mouth infections are being kept at bay with Clindacure drops in her food 1 week on 1 week off. She is so easy to care for and a joy.

UPDATE : 9/5/08 FAYNE )– 6.4#, 8 yrs, female – Fayne was adoption pending home visit, but fell through. Exploratory surgery, an enlarged salivary gland was removed and lymph biopsied. One molar was xrayed, discovered to be bad and so it was removed as well. She is now romping around with her foster sister Patty Sue, a 3 yr old chi. This is a new activity we had not seen before, but soo fun to watch.

UPDATE: 08-08-08: FAYNE IS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH CONTINUING INFECTIONS IN HER MOUTH. SHE WENT TO SURGERY TODAY FOR REMOVAL OF A LYMPH GLAND THAT WAS SENT FOR PATHOLOGY AND HAD MORE DENTAL EXTRACTIONS. HER MEDICAL BILLS NOW ARE ALMOST $2000.00. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO HELP US HELP FAYNE PLEASE CONSIDER MAKING A DONATION FOR HER. THANK YOU!!

Update 07/29/08: Fayne had a very good week last 2 weeks. Now she is not completely responding to her pulse therapy of antibiotics for dental difficulties. Friday the 1st she will undergo anesthesia exploratory probe in her mouth to find the affected tooth and/or other possible causes. Fayne's lymph nodes in her neck are enlarged and her blood work came back as kidney/liver ok but her immune system is stimulated most likely due to the chronic infection. She has been a real trooper through all the tests and continues to be her gentle/quiet selfUpdate 07/02/08: Fayne had a broken tooth that was removed. She
is bouncy again and loves to walk around the property
and lay in the sun, something she hasn't felt like
doing in a while. She will need a fenced in area as
she doesn't alway look where she is going but she
goes. (typical terrier). She is on maintenance
clindacure and oxyfresh for better dental health. We
play a game of splash splash cutesey cutesey to
encourage her to drink more water. Adoption fee is
$200.

Update 5/30/08: Fayne 8 yr old, 6 1/2 #'s.
Fayne is trying to befriend and play with our 3 yr old
Patty Sue (PM chi) who gets along with all dogs, Fayne
had squealed at her before to leave her alone. Now,
ears perked and play bowing. She is now eating dry
food, and will be on her clinicure 1 wk on 3 wks off
and oxyfresh in her water. She loves soft/short grass
to walk on. Loves to give kisses. She will run through
the house and do silly flips and wiggles which makes
us laugh.

Update 05/06/08: FAYNE - 6.7#'s 8 yr old - Fayne is so comical she is better than tv for entertainment. I took her visiting and she enjoyed investigating the home. She loves to lay in our lap upside down. She recently has been in need of more aggressive dental hygeine since she will NOT let anyone brush her teeth or open her sensitive mouth. She will go on pulse therapy (antibiotics 2 weeks on 2 weeks off). It is important that she be encouraged to drink more water and oxyfresh is put in her daily drinking water. She has her own bowl that I keep the other dogs out of. She is not the best water drinker in the world. She has developed interesting habits in her mature age. IF I don't keep her bowl to the top of the rim she will not drink it. NOR will she drink out of the other dogs bowls. She will approach it, sniff, and walk to her own. Funny girl!

Update 01/26/08: My foster home has nicknamed me their little fairy. I am very light on my feet and walk around so dainty almost flying softly. My soft silky hair is getting longer just in time for the winter cold and flows in the breeze. I will jump on "ma and dad's" lap and gently reach up to lick their face. I like to look sideways at them to see them groom me. I let them know if they are doing it to my liking. My game is to wait until they are done and hake it all out. I like the warm air of the dryer. I am eating Wellness brand Sr. dog food, but just love the pieces of oranges, carrots, bananas, chicken, liver treats I get. (I know liver - strange for such a little lady, but mmmm, yum). I still don't like bigger dogs, but am learning that no one is going to let any hurt me again. So as long as the big dogs "watch it, bud", I am ok with them being around. I will let just about anyone pick me up to cuddle. My health is good as I have filled out from being so scrawny before surgery. I don't weigh 4#'s no more but think I feel so much better.

Update 10/08/07: Fayne is a very submissive quiet, loving, gentle, Yorkie. She sleeps in her crate with the door open and is gated when we are gone. She absolutely loves her doggie bed which is now a covered bean bag chair. She is paper trained, loves now to go outside, but doesn't like the cold. She walks dainty on harness/leash. We have had no problems with her. Her initial bio stated that she was terrorized by a much larger dog, and since has learned that all big dogs are not mean. She is great with other dogs as long as they don't mess with her. When she is begging for food she has a "chipmunk like chatter" which is soooo cute! She recently attended an adoption event where she got

lots of hugs and attention.

Update 06/25/07: Fayne has recuperated successfully from her surgery and given a clean bill of health. She is somewhat shy, but quiet, gentle, dainty. As you can see she gets along with other small dogs (Her foster sister and brother).
Adoption Fee $350.00

Original Bio 06/09/07: Fayne - 7 yr old (DOB 1/00) Female black/blond 4#'s. Gentle, quiet, housetrained or paper trained. She ignores her "brother", Gaylin's dominance, as she was raised with him since 12 weeks old for breeding purposes but she lost a few pups. She does quite well with out her "brother". Recently she was spayed and underwent surgery for mammary tumor removal. She loves to be held and is leash trained but moves slow. She does not like to be outside but will potty then want back in, nor does she like to go on car rides. She loves to be in your lap belly up for scratches/rubs. She gets along with other dogs. She tends to be afraid of bigger dogs due to previous big dog scare. But if they are gentle she doesn't mind. It would be nice if Gaylin & Fayne could be adopted together, but not necessary.
