Charlie's Story...
This poor little 9 pound boy was dumped out along a very busy highway in the terrible heat and left to fend for himself. Fortunately for him he was spotted by a very caring person who called for help. He was so scared and was not trusting people after being dumped. However little Charlie was not afraid of the 5 year old little girl that was with her mother trying to rescue Charlie. So with her help we were able to get a leash on him and get him to safety. Of course, as is usually the case, he is the sweetest most loveable little guy. Loves to sit in your lap and snuggle. He has been fully vetted and we are working on housetraining. He is doing very well. Charlie is not a barker and gets along with the other dogs. We are guessing Charlie to be just a little over a year old and gave him a birthdate of 2/26/11. Update 7/26/12: Charlie is now housebroke and still the sweetest little guy ever.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlie, a Columbus Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Columbus, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
