Gracie's Story...
I am a female Shih Tzu/Chihuahua mix. I am about 3 years old. I am spayed, heartworm negative, current on shots, micro-chipped and on heartworm/flea preventative.
My adoption is $150.

I was rescued by another organization in Alabama. They could not find me a home so they transported me to Florida in hopes someone here would want me. I can be very shy and would do best in a home without small children because I might nip if frightened or grabbed at.

Please email for an application. A New Beginning Pet Rescue, Inc. only accepts cash. We do not have the ability to accept credit or debit cards and no longer accept checks. The pets are available to be seen at our adoption events on weekends at the Petsmart in Altamonte Springs on Saturday from 11-5 and Sunday from 12-5.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gracie, a Orlando Shih Tzu/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Chihuahua for sale in Orlando, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Orlando.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Orlando already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Orlando breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Chihuahua breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Orlando paves the way for another one to be saved.
