Carmen's Story...
Carmen has had a long road to come to our shelter. Carmen was still nursing her litter of girls when she came in, and once her babies were weaned, she even fostered some kittens who needed a mom. This sweet girl took such good care of her kittens and foster kittens, that she needs a home that will spoil her rotten. Carmen has been spayed, is mircrochipped and tested negative for FELV/FIV, she has all her vaccines and is ready to go home with a lucky family! To meet Carmen in person please stop by the shelter on Tuesday or Saturday during our normal business hours. Tuesday or Saturday doesn't work for you? To meet the animals any day of the week please call for an appointment and the staff will be happy to set you up with a date and time to visit us!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Carmen, a Chippewa Falls Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chippewa Falls, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chippewa Falls.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chippewa Falls already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chippewa Falls breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chippewa Falls paves the way for another one to be saved.
