Jacob's Story...
Jacob is a shy and sweet cat the was found as a stray and brought to the shelter in June. We let him hang out by the front desk one morning, and of all the interesting things he could have looked at such as birds and butterflies out the window, other cats in the colony cat room, special kitty treats on the shelf, he proceeded into the manager's office and laid down on a fluffy dog bed. The only time he got up to move was to eat, and then go right back to his comfy bed. He is absolutely enjoying the spoiled indoor pampered life. This cat is marked special needs due to his special diet. To meet Jacob in person please stop by the shelter on Tuesday or Saturday during our normal business hours. Tuesday or Saturday doesn’t work for you? To meet the animals any day of the week please call for an appointment and the staff will be happy to set you up with a date and time to visit us!

Jacob was neutered by Lake Wissota Animal Hospital.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jacob, a Chippewa Falls Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chippewa Falls, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chippewa Falls.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chippewa Falls already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chippewa Falls breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chippewa Falls paves the way for another one to be saved.
